About ICSCE

The first International Conference on Sustainability in Civil Engineering (ICSCE 2016) was held on November 26-27th, 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The conference was welcomes papers in the aspects of Sustainability in Civil Engineering, especially concerning the following topics but not limited included sustainability on material and resources, construction management, planning and development of infrastructures, planning and development transport structures, and River, Estuary, and Coastal Engineering. The LOC of ICSCE 2016 received 105 abstracts and 80 full papers and posters from 9 countries and regions.

The ICSSCE 2016 received 6 keynote speakers from Hohai University - China, AIT - Thailand, Auburm University – USA, Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) – Japan, Nantes University, France, and Thuy Loi University – Vietnam.

The ICSCE 2016 was a bridge for many of scientists, professors, experts, scholars, and practitioners both domestic and international contributed in different ways to turn this great event into a smoothly running high-level international academic communication forum with many interesting presentations, posters and a great atmosphere for fruitful discussions, scientific interaction, and networking.

We also had a beautiful technical tour in Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and popular travel destination in Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam.

 

The second International Conference on Sustainability in Civil Engineering (ICSCE 2018) was held at University of Transport and Communications, Hanoi Vietnam on 24-25th November 2018. The conference was provided an opportunity for making numerous personal and professional exchanges in Vietnam and overseas. The theme of this conference is "Building an Ecosystem of Living".

The LOC of ICSCE 2018 received 143 abstracts from 13 countries and regions. Finally, LOC selected 82 full papers after peer-reviewed to accepted for publication in the conference proceeding and 8 posters for the exhibition. The conference will be divided into 5 sessions as following: Geotechnical Engineering; Water Resource, River, Estuary, and Coastal Engineering; Transportation, Infrastructure Development & Planning; Construction Materials and Bridges and Structures.  The ICSSCE 2018 had 6 keynote speakers from KU Leuven-Belgium, Hohai University - China, Ruhr University Bochum-Germany, Kyoto University - Japan, and Auburm University - USA.

All participants enjoyed all the events and sessions and have fruitful discussions on all kinds of issues in the ICSCE 2018. It became a witness for a new direction of sustainability of civil engineering. After the conference, a beautiful technical tour was held in Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam.
